Power-X is a versatile adhesive and sealant. It is a one-component, high-modulus composition, and it cures under the influence of humidity. It is free from isocyanates and silicones, and perfect if you are in need of an adhesive/sealant with high resistance to aging and weathering, that still maintains a high tack and high adhesion strength.
Used on polystyrene, coachwork, roofing, timber, shipbuilding, DIY, and more. Power-X is a professional series product from the Rite Adhesives range. It has been specially developed for high-quality work.

One feature of Power-X is its permanent elasticity. Excellent adhesion in most applications, including as glazing sealant. Works with MDF, brick, and concrete. Also, natural stone, ceramic tiles, and aluminium. Works with metals like steel and stainless steel, brass, zinc, and copper, and most plastics and ABS.
Power-X can be painted with water-based paints and several other systems!
Due to its high flexibility (400% elongation at break!), it will absorb the movement of the materials onto which it is applied.

Application
Surfaces must be dry, clean, and solid. If necessary, use a primer. Test Rite Power-X adhesion before application. To be used immediately before it dries. Hardened sealant can only be removed mechanically. To clean hands, use soap and water.
It is advised that Power-X is applied with a heavy-duty applicator, like the Ritepro. Power-X has to be applied in volumes relating to the material surface and weight of the object. Normally it is applied in strips approx. 20mm apart then the 2 materials are pressed together firmly so that the thickness is no thinner than 3mm. Power-X should not be applied in dots.
It is not suitable for: PE, PET, PP, PTFE, and bituminous substrates. Not for underwater application.
Storage and Shelf Life
12 months if kept in a cool, dry place and stored in temperatures between +5C to +25C.
